In the eastern section of the Pikes Peak region, you will find Falcon, an emerging community in Colorado Springs. Falcon has two distinctive areas – one has a city-like feel with tract homes and growing commerce, while the other has established acreage on the wide open prairie, complete with horse property and mountain views.
Development primarily began in Falcon in the 1990s and continues today. In fact, the new construction growth in Falcon is one of the largest in the Colorado Springs region.
Proximity to Bases
Falcon is most convenient to Peterson AFB and Shriever AFB, but Fort Carson is an easy drive along Hwy 24.
For the Family
Falcon is an up-and-coming area with two recreation centers, complete with indoor pools and a golf course. With the growth of the community, new shops, restaurants and stores are popping up throughout the area. Falcon is home to the Homestead Ranch Regional Park, a 450-acre natural habitat for deer, foxes, coyotes and waterfowl. Families can enjoy mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking and fishing in this beautiful outdoor recreation area.

Falcon is located at an altitude of approximately 7,000 feet. The area averages about 19 inches of rain per year and 61 inches of snow. Falcon is geographically flat and can be quite windy, most often in the more rural area east of Hwy 24.
