CSUEB Student Finds Million-Year-Old Fossil

Trinidad Cruz, M.S. Biological Sciences, found a fossil in Fremont while sifting through a pile of gravel, November 9th, 2024. Trinidad was volunteering with the Math Science Nucleus and supervised by paleontologist and CSUEB alumni, Gaetano Palazzo, B.S. Geology. The fossil is an Irvingtonian Pleistocene mammal bone fragment roughly 1.5 million years old. Read More
