Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed ºìÁ«ÉçÇø alumnus Jacob Lesner-Buxton, '11 M.S.W., to the Area Board V of the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities. Lesner-Buxton was a social work intern at the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund from 2010 to 2011 and at the Rainbow Community Center from 2009 to 2010. 

As part of his studies at ºìÁ«ÉçÇø, Lesner-Buxton created and posted a YouTube video to raise awareness of the problrem of bullying of students with disabilities.
